Short update about family, weather and other interesting things

The last some weeks we spent with preparing for the spring. We travelled to Värmland twice to visit a dogbreeder and their dogs. We are going to have a new family member, a puppy. She belongs to the majestic Tibetan Mastiff (Do-Khyi) group of dogs. She has her own blogsite now:

Fahrenhait G'Akusaa Brummelina "Brummi" (Tibetan Mastiff/Do-Khyi)

I have a very good old friend, Lene, who has a kennel not so far from us. She breeds Old English Sheepdogs, a wonderful, adorable race; plus she owns a real cutie, a Hungarian Puli (of course I'm proud of my homeland's own breed!!!). I visited her yesterday to get some advice about keeping and training bigger dogs. We already have a dog. He is "Abbe", our first dog, we say a testdog. Why? I've learnt a lot about dogs since we have him, but of course we have made lots of mistakes. Here you can read a little bit about him too:

Turangården Albert Einstein "Abbe" (local terrier-mix)

It seems like we are going to have an eventful, interesting spring. Not only the new seedlings I have in the window make me smile, but all my thoughts about these animals too. Well, two weeks left to do the last shopping for the new baby: blankets, leash, cage, food, toys. Probably I have to alter my car as well according to the size of Brummi, the new "monster".
