Delicate situation

Right now I'm in a situation at my workpace which is rather delicate and complicated. I work as a personal assistent but my customer is hospitalized. The insurance company doesn't pay for assistants if there is personal taking care of the customer at a medical institution, hospital, etc. The case is even more complicated because my college (we are two assisteants at an old lady) cannot understand my situation...or she doesn't want to. I asked help from my employer...I'm on standby. Noone can tell when my customer comes home and what I will do meanwhile...
